Tiny Dancer ( Pre-Ballet)
For young dancers, three and a half to 5 years old. Tiny Dancer is designed to foster growth in a child's developmental needs and create an engaging dance experience. Each class starts with bending, stretching, and moving. They will progress to traveling movements, including marching, galloping, and jumping. Children also focus on learning to follow directions and dance as a group. Individual expression and creativity are encouraged as each child learns to use their body. These movements give them the core knowledge of ballet and help guide them into the next level of ballet school.
See Dress Code for leotard information.
This class meets Fridays from 3:45- 4:30
WSYB aims to prepare dancers from whatever age they join the studio to reach their full potential. As the students move through our curriculum, they will be challenged to apply themselves to fulfill their goals, not just in dance but in all their lives' passions. WSYB strives to allow every student to mature at a pace that benefits them. Dancers mustn't be pushed to achieve physical goals that may harm growing bodies and souls.
With a background in many styles of Ballet training, Phyllis has taken from each method of instruction and refined it to create a syllabus that will produce well-rounded and knowledgeable students. They can adapt to different teaching styles with integrity and safety.
Students must arrive on time for class, in the proper attire, and have their hair secured. The dress code encourages unity, simplicity, and discipline among our students.
